TEMPO/Balikpapan to Hold an Industrial Exhibition

TEMPO Interactive, Balikpapan:The Balikpapan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will organize an international mining, oil and gas exhibition.
The event titled “The Second Kalimantan Mining Oil and Gas Seminar” will showcase the latest mining, oil and gas industries in the world.
“The exhibition will be held on 19-21 May 2010 and will be the biggest industrial exhibition in Balikpapan,” said Balikpapan Kadin Chairman, Zulbahri, today.
Balikpapan Kadin is cooperating with Indonesia Exhibition Service (IES) as the event organizer.
According to Zulbahri, IES has proven to be capable of organizing international standard business events in Indonesia.
IES representation, Yuanita, said that they were expecting 200 visitors from companies and countries throughout the world.
Up until now, there are several countries that already confirmed their presence.
These include Australia, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Singapore as well as some European Countries.
“Hopefully, the number will keep on increasing,” she said.
Balikpapan mayor, Imdaad Hamid, welcomes the event which will have a positive impact on the city’s development.
He said he considers the event to be in line with Balikpapan’s mission as a trade, industry and tourism city.
