From: Antara News
The government has revoked at least 715 regional bylaws which were considered to have hindered investment in Indonesia within the first 100 days of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's second-term administration.

“The revocation of the 715 problematic bylaws constituted a part of the agenda of the first 100 days of the government,” Kuntoro Mangukusubroto, head of the presidential development supervision and control taskforce, said as quoted by Antara state news agency in Jakarta on Friday.

Kuntoro hailed the revocation of the problematic bylaws, as any hindrance to the inflow of investment had to be settled as soon as possible.

Without giving details on which bylaws or from which provinces, Kuntoro said that his taskforce had paid a lot of attention to such hindrances.

He said the problem had attracted the attention of the President when he met with governors from across the country in Cipanas, West Java, several days ago.

“The President even said he was ready to hold a routine meeting once every three months. The next meeting [with the governors] will be held in May,” Kuntoro said, adding that the meeting would be designed to discuss various problems from the central government level to the regional ones.
